An Overview

With a history going back over 30 years, Mercator has deep roots in Guernsey’s professional services industry.  During this time our business has developed substantially and we are now one of the leading independent fiduciary companies in the island.  Employing over 60 people, the Group provides a comprehensive range of fiduciary, financial and fund administration solutions tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of clients.  Our board of directors and senior management are drawn primarily from the accounting, tax, legal and financial services professions, providing a real depth of knowledge combined with many years of experience.  They have all worked for well known international companies and a number of the team have worked together for many years, providing an excellent cohesive and working relationship.

We manage over one thousand structures and have clients based around the World.  We hold a broad range of assets under management, such as antiques, art, boats, residential and commercial property, investment portfolios, alternative investments and significant amounts of cash.  We administer entities which have low levels of activity through to those which have high volume transactions that require quick and efficient processing and reporting.

Whilst the set-up of a structure is key, ensuring that it remains fit for purpose is as important.  Regular client meetings are held and the structure reviewed to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of both the client and the ever changing regulatory world in which we live.

Mercator uses a number of professional service providers but is not limited to any particular establishment.  We use local and internationally based offices.
