International Diploma for Mercator Senior Manager

The Mercator Group’s senior compliance manager, Steven Emmerson has been awarded the International Diploma in Anti Money Laundering.

An internationally recognised professional qualification awarded in association with the University of Manchester Business School, the diploma is a 12 month long graduate level course designed for individuals who carry out a senior role in money laundering prevention, or work within the fraud prevention function.

This certified programme provided by the International Compliance Association is a benchmark qualification, illustrating the highest standards in anti money laundering practice for professionals within this field.

It includes anti money laundering strategies, frameworks and vulnerabilities as well as reporting and dealing with the relevant authorities. At the same time, delegates learn how to design anti money laundering frameworks and risk profiles and have a detailed understanding of compliance culture.

Mr Emmerson, previously an investment manager with MeesPierson moved to Guernsey in 1992 having gained over 19 years experience at Banque Belge in London. He joined Mercator in 2003 where he changed his career path taking on a compliance role within the fiduciary business.
