Mercator appoints new Associate Director
MERCATOR Trust Company Limited has expanded its private client team by appointing a new associate director.
After graduating with a law degree in 1995, Ms Gurney qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor in London, specialising in tax and wealth advisory arrangements for high net worth individuals and owner managed businesses.
Having worked closely with Mercator for a number of years while a tax practitioner, Ms Gurney transitioned into the private client trust area with a year at Mercator in 2007, before heading off to Zug, Switzerland to help set up a small boutique trust and company management business.
Ms Gurney has returned to Mercator to take up the role of private client associate director and is now looking toward to developing and building a balanced portfolio of clients.
David Preston, managing director of Mercator said that Ms Gurney will be a valuable addition to the team.
“With Ann’s experience in both trust and tax, she is already proving an asset to our established private client team and we have welcomed her back to Mercator in this permanent role,” said Mr Preston.
